A club extended from San Diego to Riverside, DVC: Deejays & Vinylphiles Club UC Riverside (DVC) brings people together who share a similar passion in music.

The DVC at UCR was founded by Richard Nguyen (DJ Simplex) on Jan. 2014 as a means to create UCR's first network of deejays. Today, the club continues to act as a network, while additionally providing new and aspiring deejays the lessons and experience required to become a great deejay.

On Jan. 2016, DVC partnered with Inland Empire nightlife company OMG Events, which shared a similar interest for quality sound, live deejay events, and multiple sub-genres. DVC deejays have opened for acts like Whyel and BIGGS through OMG Events.

In the past, DVC has played at UCR's Block Party, Heat Music Festival, Spring Splash and recently, Brownies & Lemonade. Our alumni & current deejays have gone on to deejay at Coachella, Sutra, Sevilla Nightclub of Riverside and much more.

DVC also holds in-house competitions/soundclashes called the DVC Championship. These take place during quarterly events called Fireplaces; where DVC members socialize and play out their diverse musical tastes.
